Welcome to Soothers, a bi-weekly series where I share one thing to help you cultivate a softer, more intentional life.
Soothers are carefully curated—they have either profoundly supported me personally or significantly impacted the clients and students I’ve guided over the past 15 years.
This isn’t your typical list designed to drive immediate clicks and purchases; instead, Soothers is all about contemplative collection.
Most of us already have more than enough “things,” yet perhaps not enough of what truly soothes. When something I share catches your eye, resist the urge to immediately buy or book. Sleep on it—24 hours, 72 hours, or even a full week—and if it still feels right, trust your intuition and—get it, or do it.
Allowing our impulses the space to deepen or dissipate leads to choices rooted in genuine longing.
Soothers are organized into six themes:
• Products: Tangible tools and items that support your body and daily routines.
• Printed Matter: Books, magazines, flyers—physical pieces of writing or text.
• People: Practitioners who inspire and support wellbeing, from local favorites in Los Angeles or across the US, to global and digital recommendations.
• Places: Destinations from around the world that can soothe and recharge.
• Podcast Episodes: Rather than entire podcasts, I’ll spotlight single episodes with transformative potential to encourage modular listening—one of my favorite things to do.
• Philosophies: I’m an eternal student, continually exploring new frameworks that expand, affirm, or challenge my thinking. When a philosophy resonates deeply, you’ll be the first to know.
